ABOUT The Movie
Welcome to Ziggy & Moon, a film that tells the heartwarming story of two unlikely friends on a journey of self-discovery and adventure.
A quirky 9 year old girl is bitten by a strange animal during a solar eclipse and develops magical powers. Together, alongside her best friend, they devise a plan to get revenge on the biggest bully in school.
Set in Arizona, Ziggy and her best friend Ollie have 2 objectives: To rescue the strange animal “Moon” from an evil man; and to use Ziggy’s newfound magical powers to get revenge on her nemesis. But Ziggy soon discovers that bullies- big or small, sometimes just need a little kindness, friendship, and a second chance.
With this film, we wanted to tackle the subject of bullying. Studies have found that oftentimes, bullies are very insecure, which often seems to drive their behavior. They have very little belief in themselves, which in turn they show very little belief in anyone else. So what if instead of teaching them lessons- we believed in them?
Pre-Production
With a honage to classic children’s films like Matilda, Home Alone and ET we hope that "Ziggy & Moon" will take you on a journey of laughter, tears, and heartfelt moments, and that it will inspire you to see the world with fresh eyes. WHERE ARE YOU IN PRODUCTION?
We are knee deep in planning! Locations have been picked out, we have begun scheduling and shot lists and storyboarding. Once green-lit we can start the casting and crew call process and start securing dates. We are planning on keeping as much of the crew and cast in Arizona as there is already a ton of talent here and it will help cut costs on accomodation/travel.
WHAT WILL YOUR PURCHASE DO?
Your purchase will help us pay for things like cast and crew. It will help us feed and pay everyone a fair wage. It would help pay for all the props and set design, and some of the fun digital effects of the floating objects Ziggy moves with her mind and the animation of "Moon".
